This role is hybrid and based in Northville, Michigan.
POSITION OVERVIEW
This Senior Civil Engineering Manager role is responsible for leading site/civil engineering projects from concept through completion, including design development, client engagement, and field coordination. The position plays a key role in managing project scope, budget, and scheduling while ensuring high-quality technical deliverables and regulatory compliance. This individual will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and mentor junior staff while supporting business development and client relationships.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and prepare work plans, proposals, cost estimates, and project schedules for civil/site engineering projects Manage project scope, budget, timelines, and deliverables across multiple concurrent assignments Lead preparation and review of engineering analyses, reports, calculations, designs, and specifications Conduct and oversee field evaluations, inspections, and site visits, including construction support activities Coordinate with clients, agencies, and internal teams through meetings, presentations, and project updates Mentor junior engineers and contribute to QA/QC, technical excellence, and project execution standards
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience in civil/site development projects, including grading, stormwater management, utilities, permitting, and design coordination Professional Engineer (PE) registration required Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D; MicroStation or OpenRoads experience a plus Strong leadership experience with the ability to manage projects and mentor junior staff Excellent communication, organization, and client-facing skills with ability to manage multiple priorities
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience (160k-180k), with eligibility for performance-based bonus programs. Full benefits include medical, dental, vision, life and disability coverage, HSA/FSA options, 401(k) with company match, and employee stock ownership (ESOP).
