Raytheon is seeking a Senior Manager of Operations Quality to join the Radio Frequency Components team supporting semiconductor manufacturing in Andover, MA. Our Operations Quality Team assures product and process quality with an emphasis on Product Compliance, Customer Satisfaction and Continuous Improvement. As a leader of the Operations Quality team, the individual in this role will be responsible for leading a group of quality engineers and hardware specialists, monitoring production performance, leading yield improvements and reduction of Cost of Poor Quality (CoPQ), supporting factory compliance with site policies and procedures, validating proper change control and implementation, and more. The ideal candidate will be able to utilize semiconductor process knowledge and strong analytical and communications skills to drive cost effective quality solutions. What you will do:
Lead a team of operations quality engineers and hardware specialists supporting semiconductor manufacturing. Some of your leadership tasks will include staffing, coaching/mentoring, presenting to senior leadership, and performance reviews. Your on-site presence will enable your immediate interaction with leaders in Operations, Engineering, Quality, and program representatives in your factories. You will regularly engage with other factory leadership to ensure alignment of top priorities for your team. Ensure effective root cause analysis and implementation of corrective & preventative actions. Perform verification and validation of improvements to understand effectiveness. Baseline factory metrics (scrap, rework, FPY, etc.), identify top drivers, forecast future demand for top drivers and identify areas of opportunity for improvement assuring clear identification, control, and disposition of nonconformities. Assess production trends using data analysis and statistical process control methods Lead manufacturing team discussions to drive process enhancements to reduce variation. Lead/Drive Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) initiatives (PFMEA, control Plans, SPC, etc.) using baseline metrics and future demand with the ability to perform verification/validation of improvements and efficiencies to facilitate defect prevention. Qualifications You Must Have:
Bachelor's in science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) or other technical field of study and a minimum of ten (10) years of Quality Engineering, Continuous Improvement, or related fields. Project management experience including managing multiple projects simultaneously Experience in first article inspection reports (FAIRs), quality monitoring, and leading root cause correct actions for both short-term and long-term initiatives in a cross functional matrixed environment. Experience in development/usage of quality metrics that may be used to drive true root cause and long-term corrective action, and in the identification/institution of perceptive verifications. Experience in manufacturing process knowledge with Quality systems and industry technical standards (ISO 9001, AS9100 and/or AS9102), interpreting drawings, work instructions, Bill of Materials (BOMs), consumable materials control, process disciplines and tool control. Prior experience in semiconductor manufacturing OR prior experience in quality, or process engineering, in a manufacturing environment Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. The salary range for this role is 132,400 USD - 251,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
