POSITION SUMMARY
Senior Vice President, Government & Public Sector Channels (SVP G&PS Channels) is the executive responsible for defining and executing the go-to-market strategy for Enginuity Power Systems (EPS) CHP (Combined Heat and Power) solutions within federal, state, local governments, utilities, and public institutions. This leader builds and sustains a high-performance, globally distributed sales and partner organization, cultivates strategic relationships with procurement and policy stakeholders, and partners with Product, Engineering, Legal, and Compliance to tailor EPS CHP offerings to public-sector needs. The SVP drives revenue growth, optimizes channel economics, and ensures regulatory compliance, risk management, and competitive differentiation across all government and public-sector initiatives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Rainmakers - require someone with an established pipeline of CHP opportunities that they are able to close imminently. Develop and execute a comprehensive GTM strategy for Government & Public Sector channels (federal, state, local government, utilities, energy agencies, universities, hospitals, and public-sector institutions) aligned to corporate objectives. Build, lead, and scale a high-performing government & public-sector sales organization and channel partner ecosystem (direct, alliance, EPCs, integrators, consultants); establish hiring plans, quota setting, training, certifications, and succession planning. Cultivate and manage relationships with key decision-makers (CFOs, CIOs, energy managers, procurement officers, program managers) and senior leaders in government bodies; lead strategic dialogues, ROI analyses, and executive-level briefings.
Lead government procurement activities:
monitor, qualify, and respond to RFPs/sole-source opportunities; author compelling proposals; oversee pricing, contract terms, and risk management; ensure compliance with FAR/DFARS, state procurement rules, and export controls as applicable. Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Solutions Architecture, Legal, and Compliance to tailor CHP solutions (including microgrids, waste-heat recovery, and utility-scale modules) to public-sector requirements, standards, interoperability, security, and reliability. Drive revenue growth and channel profitability: forecast pipeline, manage funnel health, develop win strategies, and optimize pricing and contracting models for government deals. Shape policy, incentive, and funding strategies: leverage federal and state energy programs, subsidies, and grant opportunities to accelerate CHP adoption in public sector markets. Manage cross-functional governance for large deals: coordinate with Finance, Legal, Compliance, and Risk; ensure contract risk is understood and mitigated. Represent the company at government and industry events; build thought leadership and brand credibility in public-sector energy efficiency and resilience. Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and policy changes; provide strategic insights to executive leadership to inform product roadmap and investment decisions. Ensure ethical sales practices, compliance, and governance across all government-related activities.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
15+ years in government, public sector sales, channel management, or equivalent; track record of leading complex government-focused initiatives. Deep knowledge of CHP, energy generation, utilities, and/or public-sector energy programs; prior experience selling to federal, state, and local governments highly preferred. Government procurement (RFP/RFI/LPTA), contract negotiations, channel development, partner enablement, program management, and regulatory/compliance discipline. Demonstrated success building, leading, and scaling executive-level sales teams and channel ecosystems; strong people leadership and coaching skills. Proven ability to work effectively with Product, Engineering, Legal, Compliance, Finance, Marketing, and external partners. Data-driven decision making, pipeline management, financial forecasting, and ROI-focused thinking. Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required; comfortable navigating a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree required. MBA or other advanced degrees; relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, Government Contracting, or channel sales certifications) are a plus.
SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills; ability to articulate complex CHP value propositions to diverse audiences. Strong analytic and forecasting capabilities; proficient with CRM (e.g., Salesforce) and market analytics. Channel and partner management; program development, enablement, and performance measurement. Government affairs, policy interpretation, and regulatory compliance (FAR/DFARS exposure preferred). Solution-focused selling with the ability to tailor CHP offerings (including microgrids, waste-heat recovery, and distributed energy resources) to public-sector needs. Cross-functional leadership and influence; change management and risk mitigation. Resilience, adaptability, and results-oriented mindset.
WORK ENVIRONMENT & TRAVEL EXPECTATIONS
Primarily office and field-based with frequent travel to government offices, utilities, and partner sites. Hybrid work environment with on-site collaboration and remote capabilities. Travel up to 40-60% domestically and, occasionally, internationally, depending on pipeline and client needs.

Total compensation will be tailored to the candidate's experience and track record and is designed to align leadership incentives with company growth, market expansion, and revenue objectives.
