As a Sr Advanced Project Engineer here at Honeywell, you will lead complex aerospace projects from concept through completion, ensuring technical excellence and timely delivery. You will report directly to our Engineering Manager and you'll work out of our Rocky Mount, NC location on a Hybrid work schedule. New hires can expect to report 100% on-site for the first 90 days of employment. In this role, you will impact the successful execution of advanced aerospace projects by managing project schedules, budgets, risks, and technical solutions that enhance product performance and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities will include supporting Momentum Factory Support, DMAIC and Supplier support activities impacting the Honeywell Rocky Mount Location and the sister divisions supporting that facility. In addition, you will closely work with Design Authority Team at South Bend for Phase 6 ECNs supporting ISC and will be leading the Engineering effort to release those ECNs as well as MRB authority. You will partner with world class engineer's and leaders to implement product strategies, develop program schedules and milestones, define technology roadmaps, and drive improvements in engineering quality and productivity.
- Key Responsibilities
- + Manage MRB (Material Review Board) activity processed through the facility; MRB certification will be required.
+ Support Class II Design Authority for Phase 6 ECNs (Dwg changes in a production support environment); Eng assessment for execution, ECN generation, Coordination with Engineering teams for resolution. + Drives execution of Engineering MRB thru feasibility for dimension/feature departure analysis & mitigates risk in a timely manner with extended engineering teams. + Export Control documentation certification. + Drive engineering actions for supplier request; feasibility, plan for execution with extended engineering teams. + Work closely with Operations & Quality to control, reduce repetitive MRB activity using root cause analysis & corrective action response. + Work independently & effectively within cross functional teams. + Integration with ISC effort events as well as agile projects to review proposed processing changes to ensure product integrity. + Schedule and Milestone development/mgmt. + Customer interface & Vendor interface support for item resolution. + Estimation development and analysis. + Metric development/reporting.
YOU MUST HAVE
- + Bachelor's Degree in Engineering + Minimum 5 years of experience in engineering
