Job Description

Vehicle Engineering Program Management Analyst As a Vehicle Engineering Program Management Analyst, you will play a crucial role in supporting and executing our company's vehicle programs and projects. In response to the success of our Hyundai, Kia, and Genesis brands, the team is rapidly growing to lead the expansion of localized vehicle development activities. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about the automotive industry, program management, problem solving, data analysis, and driving organizational success. The Program Management Analyst is an individual contributor role, meaning no management responsibility for direct reports.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define program objectives, deliverables, and KPIs, and establish clear project plans and timelinesLead problem-solving activities to find solutions to engineering challenges; leverage competitive benchmarking, business case analysis, cost & weight initiatives, market & customer analysisDrive alignment across organizations; develop one-voice agreement on program issues, features, and specs critical to program viability, N.A. consumer needs, and market successMonitor program progress, identify risks and issues, and develop mitigation strategies to ensure on-time delivery and achievement of program goalsCoordinate development activities across engineering functions and lead programs through key program milestonesManage program budgets, resource allocation, and forecasting activities, ensuring efficient utilization of resources and adherence to financial targetsSupport N.A. assembly plants during pre-launch vehicle quality assurance auditsEstablish and maintain effective communication channels with stakeholders, providing regular updates on program status, milestones, and key deliverablesPrepare and deliver presentations and reports to communicate program status, milestones, and key insights to managementAssist in the development and implementation of program management processes, process improvements, tools, and methodologies to drive efficiency and effectivenessStay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in program management, and leverage this knowledge to drive innovation and improvement
HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT
Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, analyze, and interpret complex data setsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teamsDetail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills to handle multiple projects and priorities simultaneouslyStrong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work independently and make sound decisionsKnowledge of industry best practices in program management and project executionResilient, flexible, and able to adapt to rapidly changing business requirementsPassion for discovery and learning; a curiosity that drives you to look beyond the obviousComfort with ambiguous assignments; skillful at defining and managing scope, timing, and resources
WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE
Bachelor's degree in EngineeringDomestic and international travel required to support projects (~25%)Candidates applying for positions with Hyundai and KIA must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire.
