Job Description
Job Overview We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Business Unit Manager to lead CABU. The successful candidate will lead this growth business within the security and infrastructure of our global HPS team. They will be responsible for the financial forecasting, marketing, design, field support and product development activities within the Business Unit Within Hubbell Utility Solutions, with our Cable Accessories Business Unit (CABU). CABU provides underground cable accessory solutions in the Power and Utilities industry across North America.
#LI-SL1A Day In The Life Meet business unit objectives including top line sales and operating profit
Report accurate and timely information to the VP/GM on business financial forecast and operational performance (customer issues, new product development, talent management, employee welfare)
Directly lead a multifunctional team of applications, field training, and design engineering professionals
Collaborate and influence the larger Hubbell Sales Team to drive growth for the Products portfolio
Collaborate with Hubbell Pricing Team to ensure profitability and alignment to strategic goals
Participate in the business planning process that will result in a strategic plan, driving disciplined execution to realize growth
Deliver customer presentations, program initiatives and strategic business plans orally and in writing for review or approval
Drive innovation in the business looking for new ways of achieving customer business outcomes at the same time creating cost reduction opportunities, improving services levels, and increasing the value to the customer
Lead New Product Development initiatives within the business unit to develop new and improved quality products that will differentiate the brand in the markets served
Develop the organizational capabilities to succeed in short and long term by identifying and developing the talent and competencies needed to support the strategy and future growth
Foster and develop a workplace culture and environment where everyone can be their whole and best selves resulting in a highly engaged team
Ensures the expectations of all direct reports are defined and understood with regular feedback on performance Represent the company as appropriate in its relationships with customers, suppliers, competitors, governmental agencies, etc
What will help you thrive in this role? 6-8 years Manufacturing, Project Management and/or General Business Management combined with proven leadership experience
Business Management of a multifunctional organization: Project Management, Product Management, Marketing, Field Services, Engineering and Development, Manufacturing, Operations and Sales
Financial Acumen:
