Housed within the College of Engineering and Technology, the Department of Technology Systems (https://cet.ecu.edu/techsystems/) offers BS in Design, BS in Distribution and Logistics, BS in Industrial Engineering Technology, BS and MS in Industrial Technology, in Information and Cybersecurity Technology, MS in Technology Management; Cybersecurity Professional Certificate, Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certificate, Network Management Professional Certificate, and a consortium-based PhD program in Technology Management. The department has 32 full-time faculty members and employs additional part time instructors each semester as needed to serve its more than 1500 students. The department is a leader in both traditional and distance delivery of technology-based, hands on programs. Our onsite and remotely accessible labs (Distribution Center/Warehousing, Internetworking, Cybersecurity, Industrial Control Systems, Design, Advanced Manufacturing,) are equipped with state-of-the art technology for instruction. The department is also home to the Center for IoT Engineering and Innovation (CIEI) that facilitates education and research involving the application of Internet of Things to solve various problems in manufacturing, agriculture, healthcare, and more. The College of Engineering and Technology (CET; https://cet.ecu.edu/) combines experiential education, applied research, and industry engagement to support faculty scholarship and student success. The college serves approximately 3,400 students and includes over 90 faculty across four departments
- Computer Science, Construction Management, Engineering, and Technology Systems
- that complement one another through shared academic strengths.

Job Duties:
Department of Technology Systems seeks a 9-month fixed term faculty member starting fall semester 2026 to teach a variety of courses in Industrial Distribution & Logistics, Industrial Engineering Technology, and/or Industrial Technology, and may include: Logistics, warehousing, and inventory management; Purchasing, sustainability, and supply chain management, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and Automatic Identification and Data Capture (AIDC) technologies to include SAP and other related platforms, Technical writing and technical presentations, Process improvement and continuous improvement, Operations management, Quality systems, Project Management, etc. Faculty members are expected to provide service to the department and assume leadership roles in developing, teaching, and maintaining curriculum using both traditional and distance delivery methods. Active involvement in outreach to industry is required.
Minimum Education/Experience:
A masters degree in industrial Distribution & Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Technology Management, Manufacturing, or an area closely related to the technology disciplines in the department. Experience developing and teaching both face-to-face and online courses is required. All degrees must be from regionally accredited institutions. License or Certification Required by
