Job Description

job summary: A Quality Manager is needed for a leading industrial manufacturing organization in the Greenville, SC area. The Quality Manager is responsible for establishing, implementing, and continuously improving a comprehensive Quality Management System (QMS) tailored to the HVAC / cooling industry. This strategic role oversees end-to-end quality control processes from incoming inspection through final production while leveraging advanced, data-driven quality tools. Additionally, this leader serves as the primary customer-facing quality contact, manages advanced laboratory testing capabilities, and supports ongoing ETL certification compliance. Candidates must possess a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related technical discipline, alongside at least 5 years of progressive quality management experience. Proven expertise in maintaining a QMS (ISO 9001/IATF 16949) and hands-on proficiency with quality tools (SPC, FMEA, 8D) and statistical software are strictly required. Relocation assistance can be budgeted for candidates with a HVAC or refrigeration background.

Develop and maintain the company's QMS while supporting ETL certification and executing system and process audits
End-to-End Operations:
Oversee the full manufacturing quality control spectrum, including IQC, IPQC, FQC, and OQC processes
Root Cause & CAPA:
Apply advanced quality tools (8D, Six Sigma, PPAP) to analyze defect data and drive effective corrective actions
Lab & Testing Governance:
Build and manage laboratory capabilities, including incoming test labs, enthalpy-difference labs, and chiller witness testing
Customer & Cross-Functional Interface:
Act as the primary technical contact for after-sales quality issues while collaborating with R D, production, and procurement qualifications: Experience level: ManagerMinimum 5 years of experience
