Engineered Tank Fabrication Manager

POSITION SUMMARY
The Engineered Tank Fabrication Manager oversees the daily operations of the Engineered Tank Fabrication Department at Peabody Engineering LLC. This role ensures that all activities related to engineered tanks are carried out safely and efficiently, in accordance with established quality standards, production goals, and engineering specifications. The manager provides leadership to production staff, manages workflow, and consistently promotes process improvements to support operational excellence and company growth. In this position, the manager is considered a "working" manager, meaning they are expected to lead the team while also performing the same tasks alongside employees to meet and exceed company goals. This role requires strong technical knowledge of manufacturing processes, demonstrated leadership capabilities, and the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple departments to achieve organizational objectives.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of five (5) years of experience in manufacturing or industrial fabrication; rotational molding experience preferred. Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory or management experience in a production environment. Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency in interpreting blueprints and technical drawings. Experience with ERP and CRM systems for production planning and reporting. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail. Commitment to maintaining a safe, compliant, and positive work environment. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. safely and work on the production floor as necessary.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Leadership and Staff Management Supervise and direct Engineered Tank Fabrication personnel to ensure productivity, quality, and compliance with company policies and procedures. Provide clear guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback to team members. Develop and maintain a high-performing workforce through training, coaching, and cross-functional skill development. Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement. Production Oversight Plan, coordinate, and monitor daily fabrication activities to meet production schedules and customer requirements. Review and interpret engineering drawings, work orders, and specifications to ensure accuracy in production. Collaborate with Executive Leadership, CAD, Molding, and Maintenance departments to resolve production challenges and ensure optimal workflow. Quality and Safety Compliance Ensure that all products meet established quality standards, including dimensional and functional specifications. Oversee and approve quality inspections, hydro-testing, and final product verifications. Enforce compliance with all company safety procedures and applicable OSHA regulations. Conduct regular safety audits and promote safe work practices across the production team. Practice good housekeeping and maintain a clean and organized workspace. Process and Continuous Improvement Identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements in fabrication processes, equipment utilization, and resource allocation. Participate in capital equipment planning and process optimization projects. Collaborate with management to implement standardized operating procedures and best practices. Administrative Responsibilities Maintain accurate records of production output and quality performance Present daily to Management the goals to be accomplished each day. Manage scheduling, labor hours, and overtime to align with operational demands. Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to strategic planning initiatives.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, lifting, and reaching. Regular use of hands, speech, vision (including depth and color perception), and hearing in a manufacturing environment. Independently lift to 50 lbs.; use moving equipment for heavier loads. Work in a moderately noisy environment. Operate warehouse moving equipment safely and effectively.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Work performed primarily on the production floor, which may involve exposure to moderate-to-high noise levels and elevated temperatures. Requires both independent and team-oriented work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment This is a drug-free, alcohol-free, and smoke-free workplace.
Pay:
$64,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
