Full Job Description Job Overview Company:
Raycap The Production Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing production-related projects from initiation through completion. This role ensures projects are delivered on time, within scope and quality requirements, while aligning with operational, safety, and business objectives. The Production Project Manager works cross‑functionally with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, quality, and external partners to drive successful project outcomes. Primary Job Responsibilities Project Planning & Execution Lead production projects from concept, industrialization, or change request through full implementation Develop detailed project plans including scope, timelines, budgets, resources, and risk mitigation Coordinate all project phases: design transfer, pilot builds, ramp‑up, and steady‑state production Ensure adherence to project governance, milestones, and deliverables Cross‑Functional Coordination Act as the main point of contact between production, engineering, quality, supply chain, and leadership Facilitate project meetings, reviews, and decision‑making forums Align internal teams and external suppliers on expectations, schedules, and deliverables Schedule & Risk Management Track project schedules and resource utilization Identify project risks, capacity constraints, and production impacts; implement mitigation plans Manage change requests and scope adjustments while minimizing disruption to operations Production & Process Readiness Ensure production processes, tooling, equipment, and documentation are ready for launch Support validation efforts (process capability, pilot builds, ramp‑ups) Coordinate issue resolution during production start‑up and stabilization Reporting & Communication Provide regular project status updates to stakeholders and leadership Escalate issues proactively with clear data, options, and recommendations Maintain accurate project documentation and lessons learned Continuous Improvement Apply project management best practices and continuous improvement methodologies Identify opportunities to improve production efficiency, quality, cost, and delivery performance Job Requirements Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Project Management, or related field 5+ years of project management experience in manufacturing or production environments Strong understanding of production processes, industrialization, and operational workflows Proven ability to manage cross‑functional teams and multiple projects simultaneously Experience with project management tools (MS Project, Smartsheet, Jira, or similar) Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills Preferred Qualifications PMP®, PRINCE2®, or equivalent project management certification Experience with NPI, production ramp‑up, or industrialization projects Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement principles Physical Demands Standing and walking for extended periods in manufacturing facilities Manual dexterity for handling tools and equipment Lifting and carrying objects up to approximately 25 pounds Good visual acuity for inspecting products and reading documents Effective verbal and written communication skills Stamina to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks We offer A competitive benefit package Paid Time Off 10 company paid holidays Tuition Reimbursement A generous 401(k) employer contribution
