This position is an opportunity for an experienced leader and partnership builder both to serve the students at Cristo Rey Charleston High School, and also to be part of the largest network of Catholic high schools in the country that exclusively serves under-resourced youth. About Cristo Rey Charleston High School Cristo Rey Charleston High School is the 42nd Cristo Rey school in the United States and will open in August 2027 to a founding freshman class of approximately 100 students. At full enrollment in 2031, the school will serve over 400 students in grades 9-12. Cristo Rey schools empower student formation through the integration of rigorous college preparatory academics, four years of professional work experience, support to and through college, and Catholic educational values. Beyond the academic and extracurricular programs, the Cristo Rey model includes a Corporate Work Study Program wherein students work in professional jobs off campus one day every week. One hundred percent of Cristo Rey Charleston students will participate in Corporate Work Study, which funds 50% of the annual cost of educationfor each student. Leading the school in maintaining a rigorous and meaningful work study program in this unique model will be key to the overall success of the school. About the Position The Founding Vice President will lead all aspects of the Corporate Work Study Program (CWSP), collaborating closely with corporate and nonprofit partners, fellow administrators, students, parents, faculty, and staff to secure job placements for every student and cultivate a professional work environment and student development program that reflects the mission and vision of Cristo Rey Charleston High School. In partnership with the President and Principal, the VP will ensure that the Corporate Work Study experience is meaningful, impactful, and operationally excellent for both students and job partners. The VP will be hired by, and report to, Cristo Rey Charleston High School's President. S/He will build, lead, and develop a team that includes the CWSP staff of relationship managers and faculty. The Vice President will lead all dimensions of the program, including sales, team leadership, client relationship management, job development, and operational excellence. This role is central to cultivating and expanding corporate partnerships to secure meaningful, high-quality student employment opportunities, while also strengthening and sustaining existing relationships. The ideal candidate will excel in a fast-paced education and business environment and be deeply committed to advancing the Cristo Rey mission.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee the CWSP team, ensuring strategic program management and legal compliance.
- Develop and cultivate new corporate relationships while stewarding and expanding existing ones to ensure full student employment.
- Champion innovative solutions and strategies to meet program goals and enhance student work opportunities.
- Manage operational, sales, and compliance aspects of the CWSP, ensuring all program elements are executed effectively. Professional Qualifications and Personal Qualities
- Demonstrated leadership in business or education settings, with a passion for the Cristo Rey mission.
- 5 or more years of proven success with lead generation and securing corporate sales, fundraising or sponsorship.
- At least three years' leadership experience in revenue-generating roles with corporate clients.
- The executive presence to inspire organizational and professional confidence, passion and persistence in an ambitious, fast-paced, and results-oriented team, all while maintaining a positive work environment.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills including proven ability to engage and inspire a wide range of partners, build creative and mutually beneficial relationships within the corporate and nonprofit sectors.

Compensation:
