Job Description

Senior Project Manager - Municipal / Transportation Engineering Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead municipal and transportation engineering projects from planning and design through construction. This individual will oversee project delivery, client relationships, team leadership, and business development efforts while helping expand the firm's presence and growth within the region. Key Responsibilities
  • Manage municipal and transportation projects, including roadways, intersections, drainage systems, utilities, and public infrastructure improvements.
  • Oversee project scope, budgets, schedules, quality control, and resource allocation.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for municipalities, counties, DOTs, and public agencies.
  • Lead multidisciplinary project teams and mentor junior staff.
  • Review engineering plans, specifications, reports, and contract documents for technical accuracy.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Lead business development initiatives to strengthen the office's market presence and generate new project opportunities.
  • Develop client relationships, prepare proposals, participate in interviews, and support strategic growth efforts. Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
  • 10+ years of municipal and/or transportation engineering experience.
  • 5+ years of project management experience.
  • Experience working with municipalities, counties, DOTs, and public agencies.
  • Proven success managing projects, developing client relationships, and contributing to business development.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience managing DOT-funded projects.
  • Familiarity with transportation funding programs and capital improvement planning.
  • Established relationships within municipal or transportation markets.
  • Experience helping grow a regional office or market presence. Technical Skills
