WHAT WE'LL NEED
The Senior Director, Real Estate is an enterprise leader responsible for overseeing Wingstop's real estate strategy, team performance, and development pipeline.
This role owns:
Portfolio quality and site selection standards Market expansion strategy Real estate team performance and development Alignment of real estate decisions with enterprise goals This is not a transactional role. This is a strategic growth leadership role.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Enterprise Real Estate Strategy Define and lead the long-term real estate strategy aligned to growth targets Establish clear site selection criteria and trade area standards Drive market prioritization and expansion planning Ensure alignment between development pipeline and brand strategy Portfolio Quality & Performance Improve overall portfolio performance by elevating site selection standards Reduce variability in new restaurant performance Monitor site performance trends and adjust strategy accordingly Team Leadership & Development Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing Real Estate team Build a strong bench of talent capable of supporting long-term growth Establish clear expectations, accountability, and performance standards Brand Partner & Stakeholder Management Partner with Brand Partners on development strategy and pipeline execution Build strong relationships with landlords, developers, and brokers Influence partner decision-making to align with brand standards Cross-Functional Leadership Drive alignment across Development, Operations, Marketing, and Supply Chain Ensure real estate decisions are operationally and financially viable Support enterprise initiatives and growth priorities Process & Scalability Improve and standardize real estate processes and decision-making frameworks Implement data-driven tools and analytics to enhance site selection Build scalable systems to support accelerated development
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
Higher AUV performance across new restaurant openings Reduced variability in site performance Strong, healthy development pipeline aligned with strategy Improved franchisee returns and satisfaction Scalable and repeatable real estate processes Strong cross-functional alignment
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
12+ years of real estate or development experience, preferably in QSR or franchising 7+ years of leadership experience managing high-performing teams Proven track record of driving large-scale development strategies Deep understanding of trade areas, site selection, and unit economics Strong executive presence and ability to influence senior stakeholders High data literacy and experience using analytics in decision-making Ability to operate both strategically and tactically
