Manufacturing A confidential manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead and scale its engineering function at a high-performing production facility. About the Role This is a senior leadership opportunity for a hands-on Engineering Manager who thrives in a manufacturing environment and enjoys driving technical excellence, process improvements, and cost optimization. You will lead engineering strategy, support daily manufacturing operations, and play a key role in new product and equipment development. Key Responsibilities Engineering Leadership & Strategy Lead and develop the Engineering team to support operational and business objectives Own all engineering activities including new product development, process development, and equipment design Drive continuous improvement, cost take-out (CTO), and shop-floor savings initiatives Manufacturing & Equipment Support Support manufacturing through technical improvements to existing equipment Design, build, refurbish, and install production equipment and tools Oversee equipment specifications, purchasing, installation, and debugging Lead standardization initiatives (dies, quick-change capabilities, finishing processes) Systems, Costing & Quoting Manage engineering-related requirements within the MRP system, including: Bills of Materials Work Centers & Routings Product Costing Support quoting activities for new business opportunities Process & Quality Lead process improvement initiatives across operations and finishing Ensure compliance with quality systems, SOPs, and safety standards Champion 5S, safe work practices, and a culture of continuous improvement Qualifications & ExperienceRequired Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering Minimum 5 years of engineering management experience in a manufacturing environment Strong background in equipment design, process development, and cost management Proven leadership experience supervising engineering roles Preferred Experience in wire or similar manufacturing environments Strong CAD capabilities Hands-on approach with shop-floor engagement Leadership Scope Industrial Engineer Manufacturing Engineer Work Environment Combination of office and manufacturing floor Exposure to loud noise, temperature variations, and industrial equipment Ability to work extended hours and occasional overtime as business needs require What's Offered Competitive compensation (salary exempt role) Leadership visibility and influence within operations Opportunity to drive meaningful improvements and long-term impact Stable manufacturing environment with growth opportunities Confidential Application Process To protect the privacy of both candidates and the company, this role is being managed confidentially.
