Responsibilities:

Perform management oversite of the Licensing and Operations Departments responsible for managing personnel, clients, contracts, business development, and recruitment. Support the Business Unit Director in the day-to-day execution of the Business Unit including tracking BU performance against planned goals. Serve as Project Manager or Project Director for projects as needed. Provide technical input and oversight in the role of a chief or lead engineer for design projects as needed.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline with 15+ years of direct experience. Knowledge and experience in most aspects of project management and project control activities with the ability to become proficient in all. Experience in developing operating and financial plans. Some knowledge and skill in prime contract formation, negotiation, and administration. Technical comprehension of engineering, procurement, and construction techniques, including their interfaces and interdependencies. Skill in oral and written communication as well as applying team building concepts. Basic knowledge of and experience with project controls and/or project management, project budgets including cost estimating, cost control and cost analysis, project scheduling, implementation of corrective actions, developing and delivering detailed and accurate status reports and basic knowledge of/and experience with engineering functions and principles required to understand and successfully implement and monitor technical projects. Basic knowledge of Earned Value Management System (EVMS) tools and processes. US Citizen. Successful drug screen.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working with the Department of Energy (DOE) or Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) at headquarters, contractors, and/or field office level, or with state and federal regulators. Experience in successfully leading multiple projects through the standard phases to include initiation, planning, engineering, procurement, construction, start-up and testing, and close-out. Experience reporting to and communicating with multiple supervisory organizations/stakeholders. Previous experience on a planning team and/or detailed engineering design.

Location/Work Arrangement:

Full-time, Monday-Friday, 40-hour work week. This position will be onsite at the BGS corporate office in Oak Ridge, TN.
