Core Engineering What You'll Do As a senior manager you will provide leadership, technical direction and oversight to Process Engineering Staff, Process Engineers, and technical support personnel. Responsible for leading Department wide Strategic initiatives and providing technical support for large scale Engineering issues. Responsible for maintaining safe working conditions and safety awareness, establishing goals, and expectations. Capable of representing the Process Engineering Department in high level meetings and providing backup support for the Process Engineering Director. The Process Engineering Senior manager will lead and manage activities for Production Engineering in a manner that enables employee engagement. This includes leading engineering resources for problem solving and issue resolution to support the mission at Pantex. Advises management of staffing needs necessary to address both forecast and emerging workload. In addition, managing a dedicated group of Technical Staff and Process Engineers who function as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) on weapon, special nuclear material, packaging processes and associated procedures. Frequent contact with external and internal customers is required. Demonstrated knowledge of, and the ability to manage, using project management techniques such as tracking and trending, scheduling and cost estimating to meet reliability, operability, cost, schedule and quality expectations; knowledge of engineering principles and their application to risk analysis, qualitative risk assessment, facilities and systems operation, and manufacturing processes and systems; working knowledge of engineering principles and standard industry operations. This position requires a high level knowledge of the Process Engineering Department roles and responsibilities along with the Nuclear Weapons Enterprise System. Minimum Job Requirements Bachelor of Science degree in engineering/science discipline with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience Department of Energy (DOE) Order 426.2A Requirements In addition, the applicant must meet the requirements of

). Preferred Job Requirements Three years of supervisory/management experience. Candidates with less than 3 years of supervisory/management experience will be required to complete a developmental plan approved by the Division Director or their delegate Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field from an Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) accredited program in the United States or designated equivalents thru ABET Mutual Recognition Agreements (MRA) A minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) is preferred for up to four years post-graduation, confirmed by transcript at the time of offer. Beyond four years from graduation, relevant experience will supersede GPA in hiring considerations. Bachelor's degree with a minimum 3.0/4.0 cumulative GPA Master's degree with a minimum 3.3/4.0 cumulative GPA PhD with a minimum 3.5/4.0 cumulative GPA Prior nuclear weapon processing experience Demonstrated ability to manage engineers and administrative personnel Advanced knowledge of nuclear weapon processes and procedures; demonstrated ability to lead strategic initiatives, engineering evaluations of processes, facility and systems including Nuclear Explosive Safety Studies and nuclear weapon projects Ability to lead difficult and complex projects Ability to develop executable plans Skills for reporting on determined corrective and improvement actions Knowledgeable in budgeting, staffing, and financial performance Ability to maintain successful interactions with equivalent-level and subordinate managers concerning matters of significance to the Company Ability to clearly and effectively communicate through oral and written word #

The ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy Q clearance is required. Position may require entry into Materials Access Areas (MAA) and participation in the Human Reliability Program (HRP). If HRP is required, candidate must complete a counterintelligence-scope polygraph, pursuant to 10 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) 709. Medical requirements may apply.
