Full Job Description Summary:
The Vice President, Property Management reports to the Chief Operating Officer and is a senior leadership role responsible for the overall performance, strategy, and long-term success of a mixed-use development and other office and multifamily assets within the company's commercial real estate portfolio. This role provides strategic oversight of all operational functions, including property operations, engineering, security, and tenant experience. The VP partners closely with Leasing, Capital Markets, Accounting, tenant relations, third-party multifamily management teams, and other internal stakeholders to ensure financial, operational, and experiential goals are met.
Core Responsibilities:
Operational Leadership Develop and execute the operational strategy for various assets (office and multifamily). Establish and maintain service standards, operating procedures, and performance expectations across all operations to help drive net operating income. Provide executive oversight of day-to-day operations through direct leadership of the operational management team. Ensure consistent execution of policies, procedures, and service standards across all properties. Oversee maintenance, engineering, security, tenant experience, and other operational functions. Financial and Asset Performance Lead the development and management of annual operating and capital budgets for existing and future assets. Oversee financial reporting, forecasting, rent collections, expense control, and variance analysis. Evaluate and approve major expenditures, contracts, and capital projects. Ensure assets meet or exceed financial targets and company expectations. Partner with third-party management teams and internal stakeholders on long-term planning, capital improvements, and investment priorities for current and future assets. Monitor financial and operational performance of assets as they are added to the portfolio. Support leasing strategies and renewal performance for all office and multifamily assets through coordinated branding, service delivery, and operational initiatives. Drive initiatives that enhance asset value, operational efficiency, sustainability, and tenant/resident experience. Risk Management & Compliance Ensure compliance with all regulatory, safety, environmental, and operational requirements across all asset types. Oversee emergency preparedness, incident response, and risk mitigation strategies. Manage insurance claims, inspections, and audit processes. Leadership & Culture Provide coaching and development to internal teams to foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Ensure alignment of operational teams with company values, service standards, and strategic objectives. Other Perform other duties as assigned to support the evolving needs of the business and executive leadership.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Real Estate, Finance, or related field; advanced degree or industry certifications preferred. 10+ years of progressive property management experience, including leadership of mixed-use assets. Experience with multifamily asset management, preferred Strong financial acumen with experience managing large, multi-asset budgets. Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams. Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship building skills. Demonstrated success in improving operational performance and tenant satisfaction.
