This role ensures that all products meet industry standards, customer specifications, and internal quality goals. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, deep knowledge of cable testing and standards, and experience working within an ISO-certified environment. - Key Responsibilities Quality Management & Compliance Oversee and maintain the company's Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring full compliance with ISO 9001 and other relevant certifications and standards. Lead internal and external audits; prepare for and facilitate customer, regulatory, and third-party certification audits (e.g., UL, ETL). Ensure products consistently meet quality standards through inspection, testing, and evaluation of materials, processes, and finished goods. Cable-Specific Quality Oversight Manage electrical and physical testing of all cable types (e.g., ACSR, AAC, AAAC, control cables, HT cables). Monitor in-process testing and quality checkpoints throughout extrusion, cabling, jacketing, and final inspection stages. Ensure adherence to industry specifications including IS, IEC, ASTM, BS, and other applicable standards. Continuous Improvement Develop and implement continuous improvement and Lean/Six Sigma initiatives to enhance product quality and manufacturing processes. Analyze quality data, identify trends, and drive corrective and preventive actions to reduce scrap, defects, and customer complaints. Leadership & Collaboration Lead, train, and mentor quality technicians and inspectors to ensure proper execution of testing procedures and quality protocols. Collaborate cross-functionally with production, engineering, procurement, and sales teams to support quality goals and resolve issues. Interface directly with customers regarding quality concerns, audits, returns, and corrective action responses. Documentation & Reporting Maintain accurate records of tests, inspections, audits, and non-conformances. Prepare detailed reports that summarize data, root cause analysis, and recommended improvements. Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in quality management within a manufacturing environment; wire & cable industry experience strongly preferred. [rfstechnologies.com]
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and familiarity with
ISO 14001/45001.
  • Experience with electrical and mechanical cable testing methods and standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills. Preferred
  • ASQ certification (CQE, CQA, or similar).
  • Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement programs.
  • Familiarity with TL9000 (telecom cables), ISO 45001, or other industry-related certifications.
  • Proficiency with quality management software and data analysis tools.
