Job Title:
Project Engineer Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Project Engineer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for reviewing project proposals, specifications, and inspection reports to determine engineering requirements and feasibility. You will collaborate with a team of five engineers to execute projects, ensuring alignment with customer specifications. The role involves working closely with designers and drafters under the guidance of a project manager. Responsibilities Review project proposals, specifications, and inspection reports to determine engineering requirements. Collaborate with a team of engineers to execute projects according to customer specifications. Plan and coordinate the engineering phase of the project, including preparation of design basis and technical documents. Ensure effective communication and coordination between all engineering and design disciplines. Perform engineering calculations and analyses related to process design. Size and select mechanical and process equipment such as pumps, pressure vessels, filters, blowers, heat exchangers, valves, and instruments. Solicit supplier quotations and review for technical compliance, budget, and delivery constraints. Approve supplier engineering and design documents. Review package design and components for compliance with industry standards and customer contract requirements. Develop and collect engineering and QA documents required for design and fabrication. Coordinate package integration with customer equipment. Communicate directly with the customer to resolve technical issues. Evaluate and acknowledge changes to technical documents throughout the project lifecycle. Interact with shop personnel to solve engineering issues during production. Participate during equipment testing and startup. Perform other duties as required for projects or company standards development. Essential Skills 5+ years of experience in project engineering. Proficiency in Solidworks and AutoCAD. Knowledge of 3D modeling and reviewing customer specifications. Experience with skid units and associated equipment. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in drafting, designing, and project management. Ability to read and interpret spreadsheets. Work Environment This is an onsite position with working hours from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Katy, TX. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $53.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
