Job Description

Civil Engineer (PE) - Civil Project Manager, Land Development (Confidential) New Braunfels, TX (Serving Central Texas) | Full-time | 6-10 years A growing civil engineering firm in Central Texas is hiring a Texas-licensed Civil Engineer (PE) who's ready to step beyond pure design and begin owning projects —client coordination, schedules, permitting, and delivery from early feasibility through construction support. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys practical, buildable solutions and wants a clear runway into a full Project Manager position. The firm also offer 100% healthcare premiums covered. What you'll own Project management & coordination Manage day-to-day execution of land development projects Communicate directly with developers/landowners and reviewing agencies Coordinate internal team members and subconsultants Track schedules, deliverables, and key milestones Feasibility & early planning Evaluate site constraints (drainage, utilities, access, topography) Support feasibility studies and early concept layouts Help identify permitting pathways and project requirements Civil design oversight Contribute to and lead grading, utility, and site design efforts Review plans for constructability and compliance Coordinate with design staff to keep production efficient Drainage & stormwater Support hydrologic/hydraulic design efforts Coordinate drainage reports/studies Ensure designs align with local/state/federal requirements (e.g., TCEQ, FEMA as applicable) Permitting & agency coordination Manage submittals, track review comments, coordinate responses Work with jurisdictions to keep approvals moving Construction-phase involvement Respond to RFIs and contractor questions Coordinate clarifications/revisions and help resolve field issues What they're looking for Texas PE (required) 6-10 years of civil engineering experience focused on land development Experience managing portions of projects or small projects independently Working knowledge of Central Texas permitting processes Familiarity with drainage/stormwater design Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D Strong organization and communication skills; able to manage multiple deadlines What sets strong candidates apart Proactive follow-up and ownership Clear, direct communication Forward-thinking, practical decision-making Strong understanding of how projects get built , not just designed What's offered Exposure to the full project lifecycle (concept → permitting → construction support) Clear growth path toward full PM responsibilities Flexible scheduling, competitive benefits, and bonus potential (details shared during process) Team environment focused on accountability and responsiveness
Pay:
$110,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
