Mechanical Project ManagerLocation:
Plano, TX (Dallas-Fort Worth Projects)
Salary:
$100,000 - $150,000 (Experience Dependent)Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to lead commercial HVAC, plumbing, and retrofit projects from preconstruction through closeout. This role is responsible for managing budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and client relationships while ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

The ideal candidate is comfortable working across both construction and service environments, managing HVAC equipment, piping, and duct installation while adapting to evolving project specifications and schedules. This individual will play a key role in ensuring projects are executed with a strong emphasis on safety, compliance, and workmanship.

We are a full-service mechanical contractor specializing in HVAC, plumbing, process piping, and equipment installation. The team supports new construction, renovation, and retrofit projects while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, and delivering dependable service that keeps facilities operating smoothly.

Key ResponsibilitiesManage mechanical HVAC and plumbing projects from preconstruction through completionCoordinate with field teams, subcontractors, vendors, and clients to ensure project successDevelop and maintain project budgets, schedules, and cost controlsOversee installation of HVAC systems, ductwork, piping, and related equipmentReview drawings and specifications to identify scope gaps and constructability challengesTrack RFIs, submittals, change orders, and overall project documentationOversee procurement of equipment, materials, and long-lead itemsSupport installation efforts including plumbing rough-in, fixture installation, and mechanical system startupQualifications3+ years of experience in mechanical project management (HVAC and/or plumbing)Experience on commercial construction or retrofit projectsStrong knowledge of HVAC systems, ductwork, piping, and mechanical equipmentFamiliarity with plumbing systems, including rough-in and fixture installationAbility to read and interpret construction drawings and specificationsProven ability to manage budgets, schedules, and multiple project teamsPreferredExperience in both construction and service-based mechanical environmentsBackground in industrial, process piping, or medical gas systemsFamiliarity with HVAC equipment selection and system design coordinationExperience managing renovation or retrofit projects in occupied facilitiesExperience working for a mechanical contractor in the Texas marketCandidates that fill out skills & questions will move to the front of the application process.
