Overview We are seeking an experienced Vice President of Engineering to lead our engineering teams and drive excellence across our expanding projects. This pivotal role involves shaping strategic initiatives, overseeing complex engineering operations, and fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. Responsibilities Develop and execute the company's avionics engineering strategy aligned with overall business goals, emphasizing innovation, quality, and efficiency. Review and check designs for compliance to internal, customer and regulatory requirements and standards. Lead and mentor multidisciplinary engineering teams specializing in avionics systems, software development, system design, and integration. Directly support project activities by participating in design reviews, coordination with the FAA and/or any other foreign authorities. Oversee project management processes ensuring timely delivery of high-quality engineering solutions. Prepare engineering cost estimates and kit definition in support of sales proposals. Drive continuous improvement initiatives utilizing Agile methodologies to optimize workflows, enhance productivity, and foster a culture of collaboration. Collaborate with senior leadership on budgeting, resource allocation, and strategic planning for future growth. Qualifications A minimum of ten (10) years experience in the aircraft industry with FAA regulations, procedures and the STC process. Proven experience in senior leadership roles within engineering in aerospace or related industries. Extensive knowledge of STC development, integration, design, application development, and local and foreign Aviation Regulations (FAA, EASA, etc). Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate technical strategies clearly to executive stakeholders. Must possess knowledge of avionics systems, materials, fabrication practices, aviation hardware and proper applications in design. Strong leadership qualities with a focus on team development, change management practices using Agile methodologies, and fostering an innovative work environment.
Pay:
$130,103.27 - $175,070.61 per year
