Position summary l engineering activities at a specific manufacturing site, ensuring operational excellence, continuous improvement, and the successful execution of manufacturing projects. What will you do? - Lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning. Oversee all engineering functions at the site, including process engineering, manufacturing engineering, equipment engineering, and product introduction. Drive the implementation of advanced manufacturing technologies and automation to optimize production processes and improve efficiency. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., NPI, Operations, Quality, Supply Chain) to ensure seamless product launches and ongoing manufacturing support. Manage engineering budgets, resources, and timelines to meet project deliverables and operational goals. Develop and implement strategies for process improvement, yield optimization, cost reduction, and quality enhancement. Ensure compliance with all relevant industry standards, regulations, and Jabil's internal quality management systems. Champion problem-solving initiatives using structured methodologies (e.g., 8D, Six Sigma) to address complex technical challenges. Prepare and present technical reports, project updates, and performance metrics to senior management. Participate in strategic planning and long-range forecasting for site engineering capabilities and needs. How will you get here? -
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required. (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Manufacturing areas are preferred)
Experience:
Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in manufacturing engineering, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership or management role within a high-volume manufacturing environment is required Proven track record of successfully leading engineering teams and managing complex engineering projects, is a must have.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and continuous improvement tools. Experience with automated manufacturing processes, robotics, and Industry 4.0 concepts. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills with the ability to influence at all levels. Proficiency in project management software and engineering design tools (e.g., CAD). Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic, and globally distributed environment.
