They are currently seeking an experienced Associate Vice President to join their team in Arlington, VA.This leadership role offers the opportunity to oversee high-profile municipal water and wastewater treatment projects, including major plant expansions, regional water quality studies, and innovative water reuse initiatives. Key ResponsibilitiesLead engineering efforts for the design, rehabilitation, and construction of water, wastewater, and reuse treatment facilitiesPrepare engineering designs, technical reports, plans, specifications, and cost estimatesManage full project lifecycles, ensuring adherence to budget, schedule, and quality standardsServe as the primary client contact, building strong relationships and ensuring satisfactionMentor junior staff and provide technical guidanceCollaborate with other project managers and team leaders to achieve project and company goalsEnsure compliance with regulatory and permitting requirementsManage subconsultants and contribute to alternative analysis effortsSupport business development and proposal preparation, including technical presentations QualificationsBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (required)15+ years of experience in the water industry, with significant project management experienceRegistered Professional Engineer (PE) in Virginia, or ability to obtain registration promptlyProven track record managing water and/or wastewater treatment projects of varying scaleStrong background in facilities planning, process modeling, condition assessments, and capital improvement programs (CIP)Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Preferred QualificationsMaster's degree in Civil or Environmental EngineeringExperience with both design and construction phasesDBIA certification or other relevant industry credentials Compensation and BenefitsOur client offers a competitive and comprehensive benefits package, including:
