Responsibilities Engineering s Product Strategy Define and execute a comprehensive engineering and product development strategy aligned with long-term business objectives. Champion innovation and new technology integration to drive competitive advantage and customer value. Product Development Leadership Oversee development of complex systems involving mechanical, electrical, software, and control elements.
Lead full lifecycle product development:
concept, prototyping, testing, validation, launch, and sustainment. Drive modular design, common platform strategies, and design for manufacturability (DFM). Operational Excellence Implement robust engineering processes including design controls, DFMEA, Six Sigma, Lean Development, and Stage-Gate governance. Ensure all product designs meet performance, safety, compliance, and cost Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain to ensure seamless transition to production. Team Leadership s Development Build and develop a high-performing engineering organization with clear roles, accountability, and succession planning. Mentor senior engineering leaders while fostering a culture of continuous learning and collaboration. Cross-Functional s Executive Engagement Partner with Product Management, Sales, Marketing, and Customer Support to align technical execution with market needs. Represent the engineering function in executive leadership forums and with external stakeholders as needed. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering required; Master's or MBA preferred. 12+ years of engineering and product development experience in complex manufacturing 8+ years of executive or senior leadership experience managing cross-functional engineering Demonstrated success developing and launching products in sectors such as HVAC, heavy machinery, power systems, or industrial Expertise in tools such as CAD (Creo, SolidWorks), PLM systems (Teamcenter, Windchill), and simulation (ANSYS, MATLAB). Strong understanding of global compliance and regulatory standards (UL, CE, RoHS, ISO, etc.). Experience with Stage-Gate, Agile, or hybrid development Proven ability to lead technical strategy, build teams, and collaborate across functions in global organizations.
