Full Job Description About Bay Electric:
Founded in 1964, Bay Electric Co., Inc. is a SWaM-certified electrical contractor supporting commercial, healthcare, and government projects across Virginia. Our reputation is built on safety, quality, and strong teams in the field. Bay Electric Co., Inc. is seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to lead commercial and government projects from pre-construction through closeout. This role is hands-on with estimating, planning, and execution, working closely with field teams and leadership to deliver high-quality projects on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage commercial electrical projects from kickoff to completion Coordinate schedules, manpower planning, and material procurement Preparing estimates, proposals, and supporting RFP responses Track budgets, change orders, and project documentation Coordinating with field foremen and electricians to keep projects on track Maintain communication with clients, vendors, and field supervisors Support safety compliance and quality control initiatives
Qualifications:
7-10 years of electrical contracting experience Journeyman or Master Electrical License (strongly preferred) Strong organizational and communication skills Strong estimating and project management experience (commercial projects preferred) Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast paced environment Valid driver's license and ability to meet background requirements for base access Knowledge of NEC standards and construction workflows
