Military service members and veterans with ranks from E3-E5, W1-W2, or O1-O3, plus appropriate equivalent combination of education and years of experience as outlined below will be considered for this opportunity. At this time, Dominion Energy cannot transfer or sponsor a work visa or employment authorization for this position. This position does not offer relocation assistance.
  • Job Summary
  • Dominion Energy an exciting opportunity on our Supply Chain Transportation Management team as an Associate Supply Chain Transportation Specialist.
Responsibilities include:
+ Arranges and coordinates transportation and shipping services for equipment and materials. + Identifies potential transportation service providers. + Communicates with field and project personnel to evaluate provider performance. + Reviews and handles freight bills. + Reviews and processes routine claims for lost or damaged materials. + Assists field personnel in expediting or locating materials in transit. + Assists with shipping requirements and issues. + May solicit proposals, evaluate responses, negotiate, and/or administer routine service contracts.
  • Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience
  • 0-2 years of related experience.
+ Basic knowledge of freight claim law procedures. + General knowledge of procurement practices, procedures, and policies. + General knowledge of business and contract law. + General knowledge material and service delivery fulfillment process. + Hazmat DOT knowledge. + Experience with SAP, preferred. + Good verbal, written, and presentation communication skills. + Effective influence, persuasion, and negotiation skills. + Value, cost analysis, and general analytical skills. + Project management skills. + Ability to anticipate, understand, and respond to customer needs. + Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. + Ability to use sound business judgment.

  • Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education:
Bachelor Preferred Disciplines:
Business Administration, Transportation Management Other disciplines may be substituted for the preferred discipline(s) listed above.
