Job Description
We're partnered with a leading design-build firm in Richmond that continues to secure major data center projects across the Mid-Atlantic. They are looking to hire a Senior MEP Manager with a strong electrical background to take the lead on high-value, mission-critical builds. This role is suited to someone already operating at a senior level who can step in, take ownership of the MEP function, and drive both delivery and strategy across multiple projects. The Role Lead the full MEP scope across large-scale data center projects, with a clear focus on electrical systems Oversee and mentor MEP Managers and project engineers across multiple jobs Act as the senior point of contact for clients, consultants, and internal leadership on all MEP matters Drive preconstruction efforts including design reviews, procurement strategy, and value engineering Ensure project delivery aligns with schedule, budget, and quality expectations Take ownership of commissioning strategy and execution across complex systems Identify risks early and implement solutions across technical and commercial aspects What They're Looking For 10+ years of experience in MEP or electrical construction Strong track record delivering mission-critical or data center projects Background working for a general contractor or design-build firm Proven ability to lead teams and manage multiple large-scale projects Strong client-facing experience with the ability to influence key stakeholders Deep understanding of electrical systems, commissioning, and integrated project delivery Why It's Worth a Look Leadership role on some of the region's most complex data center builds Clear path into executive or regional leadership positions Strong backlog of secured work with established clients High level of autonomy and influence over project delivery Get job alerts Share Copied to clipboard Related roles MEP Manager Data Centers Charlotte
