Job Description

Vice President, High Voltage TransmissionRemote | Full-Time | U.S.-BasedThe OpportunityWe are seeking an experienced, hands-on VP, High Voltage to lead and scale a high-voltage and transmission engineering practice. This is a player/coach role, ideal for a senior technical leader who enjoys staying close to the work while building teams, setting strategy, and partnering with clients.

Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & StrategyLead, mentor, and grow a high-voltage transmission engineering organizationEstablish short- and long-term goals with clear KPIs tied to delivery, quality, and growthOwn staffing, resourcing, training, and technical developmentTechnical OversightProvide senior-level review of transmission line design deliverablesEnsure compliance with client requirements, industry codes, and internal standardsGuide teams through complex constructability and design challengesClient & Business PartnershipServe as a senior technical and business-facing leader with clientsCollaborate closely with Business Development, Project Management, and executive leadershipSupport proposals, project financials, and long-term client relationshipsInnovation & CollaborationDrive continuous improvement in engineering tools, processes, and workflowsPartner cross-functionally across disciplines and geographiesChampion innovation and challenge legacy approachesQualificationsBS in Electrical, Structural, or Mechanical Engineering (power-focused programs preferred)Professional Engineer (PE) license required15+ years of transmission line engineering experienceStrong command of industry codes, standards, and best practicesProven experience reviewing:

Plan & profile drawingsSag & tension chartsPoles, structures, and foundationsPreferred Tools & SoftwarePLS‑CADD, PLS‑POLE, PLS‑TOWERPSSECAD platforms and PDF markup toolsLeadership & CommunicationStrong people leadership and client-facing experienceHigh emotional intelligence and communication skillsComfortable operating in fast-paced, high-accountability environmentsAdditional RequirementsAbility to travel 25%+Valid passportCompensation & BenefitsBonus opportunities401(k) with company matchMedical, dental, vision, and life insuranceUnlimited PTOStrong professional development support
