Quality Engineer III+

SUMMARY

Serves as a Quality Engineer on Karman Space & Defense aerospace structures and systems programs throughout design, development, testing, qualification and production. Supports the Quality Engineering Manager in QMS management. Reports to the Quality Engineering Manager.

WHAT YOU WILL

DODetermines and executes quality plan for aerospace structures and systems through development and productionSupports customer design review activitiesPerforms in process inspections during fabrication and assembly, including AS9102 First ArticlesPrepares Technical Data Packages (TDPs) documenting hardware deliverablesReviews Purchase Orders for accuracy, including proper contractual, project and quality flow downsGenerates and resolves Corrective Action Reports (CAR) and Non-Conformance Reports (NCR)Leads failure investigationsPerforms supply chain risk analysis

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING

FORRequired:

Bachelors degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent5+ years experience aerospace systems Quality EngineeringIn depth understanding of the testing, inspection, quality issues and certification of aircraft, including all systems and particularly those associated with composite aero structuresExpert knowledge of GD&T and Statistical Process Control implementationExpert knowledge of AS9100 QMSMust be a U.S. CitizenMust hold or be able to obtain a DoD SECRET clearance
