Design Engineering Manager Responsibilities:

• Provides strategic vision and technical leadership for product and application technologies aligned with customer and business needs
• Leads end‑to‑end product development from concept through production, including design, prototyping, testing, and launch
• Manages, mentors, and evaluates engineering teams, including staffing, training, performance oversight, and administrative responsibilities
• Directs multiple concurrent engineering projects, ensuring on‑time delivery within budget, resource, quality, and cost constraints
• Ensures product quality, regulatory compliance (e.g., DOT, ASME, ISO), safety adherence, and thorough documentation throughout the product lifecycle
• Drives cost‑effective, high‑quality design decisions through process optimization, risk management, and best‑practice development
• Collaborates cross‑functionally with manufacturing, quality, sales, marketing, finance, suppliers, and customers to ensure feasibility and alignment
• Oversees product lifecycle management, including updates, enhancements, obsolescence planning, and new product introductions
• Promotes innovation, continuous improvement, and adoption of emerging technologies to maintain competitive advantage
