Take ownership and finish what they start Think like builders, not just managers Are competitive about results, not ego Thrive in team environments Key Responsibilities Project Leadership & Execution Lead projects from preconstruction through closeout with full ownership of scope, schedule, cost, and execution strategy. Translate plans into executable work packages that align crews, equipment, and sequencing. Maintain strong alignment between field operations and office planning. Planning, Modeling & Means-and-Methods Planning and estimating civil projects, including infrastructure, utilities, roads, excavation, and grading. Develop detailed project plans that integrate equipment selection, production rates, haul cycles, phasing, and labor needs. Model project performance using quantities, durations, and fleet utilization•adjusting plans proactively as conditions change. Partner with field leadership to continuously refine means and methods. Budgeting, Cost Control & Forecasting Build and manage project budgets with clear cost codes tied to production. Track job costs, quantities, and productivity; produce accurate forecasts and cost-to-complete projections. Lead change management•identifying, pricing, and negotiating changes clearly and professionally. Equipment & Asset Management Plan and optimize use of Ridgeline's owned fleet to maximize efficiency and return on assets. Coordinate equipment scheduling, logistics, and maintenance considerations with operations. Understand that equipment is a core driver of project success, not just a line item. Client, Engineer & Agency Coordination Serve as the primary point of contact for owners, engineers, inspectors, and agencies. Manage RFIs, submittals, schedules, and documentation to maintain momentum and compliance. Lead project meetings with clarity, preparation, and confidence. Field Presence, Safety & Quality Maintain regular jobsite presence and strong relationships with foremen and operators. Enforce safety standards through leadership and accountability. Ensure work meets plans, specifications, and Ridgeline quality expectations. Team Development & Culture Mentor Project Engineers and Coordinators in planning, cost control, and field integration. Foster a culture of accountability, preparation, and mutual respect. Lead with consistency•calm under pressure, decisive when it counts. Qualifications Required Proven experience managing civil, infrastructure, utility, and large excavation projects. Strong understanding of means and methods, sequencing, and production-driven planning. Ability to lead field teams and communicate effectively with engineers, clients, and operators. Comfort making decisions in dynamic field conditions. Preferred (Not Required) Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Engineering Experience in equipment-intensive, self-perform environments. Familiarity with production modeling, cost forecasting, and schedule logic. Mountain or winter construction experience. What You'll Do Own projects from preconstruction through closeout: scope, schedule, cost, and execution Plan and execute work around means & methods, equipment, production rates, and sequencing Lead foremen, operators, subcontractors, and vendors with clear expectations Manage budgets, job costs, forecasting, and change orders Coordinate with clients, engineers, inspectors, and local agencies Maintain strong jobsite presence with a focus on safety, quality, and productivity Model and adjust project plans based on real‑time field conditions and production data
