Soils Engineer, P.E. - Environmental Engineering Eureka, CA Full-TimeOn-Site$40 - $60 /hr Posted March 20, 2026 Soils Engineer, P.E. Position Overview We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Soils Engineer, P.E. to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing soil properties, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations, and providing engineering solutions for various construction projects. You will play a critical role in site investigations and foundation design, contributing to the success and safety of our projects. Key Responsibilities Conduct soil mechanics analysis and evaluate soil properties for various projects. Perform site investigations and geotechnical assessments to inform design decisions. Design and analyze foundation systems and retaining structures. Ensure compliance with environmental engineering standards and regulations. Conduct laboratory testing of soil and construction materials to determine their properties. Prepare detailed engineering reports and documentation. Collaborate with project management teams to deliver projects on time and within budget. Utilize AutoCAD for drafting and design purposes. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field. Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required. Proven experience in soil mechanics and environmental engineering. Familiarity with foundation design and site investigation techniques. Understanding of laboratory testing methods for soil and construction materials. Knowledge of ASTM standards and regulations. Experience with slope stability analysis and retaining structures design is preferred. Proficiency in AutoCAD and report writing skills. Strong project management capabilities and teamwork skills.
