Job Description

THIS POSITION IS APPOINTIVE SERVICE
$3,306.82 to $3,637.50 bi-weekly. Actual salary is negotiable based on experience and qualifications. Government Center/Viera/Travels Countywide. Work schedule is Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Performs professional engineering work planning, designing, reviewing, inspecting, and/or implementing assigned projects for the Natural Resources Management Office.
REQUIREMENTS
: Bachelor's degree in Coastal Engineering, Ocean Engineering, Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Construction Engineering. Engineering Intern/Engineer in Training (EIT) is preferred. [Engineering Intern/Engineer in Training (EIT) is a person who has graduated from an Engineering curriculum approved by the Board of Professional Engineers and who has passed the fundamentals of the Engineering examination, as provided by the rules adopted by the Board].
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
: Must possess, or obtain prior to employment, a valid Florida driver's license and maintain said license during the term of employment. Must have experience utilizing personal computers, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, or other similar software. Experience utilizing AutoCAD and ArcGIS is preferred. In the event of a hurricane, major storm, natural or man-made disaster that may threaten the area, the employee will be required to perform emergency duties as directed.
