Senior Environmental EngineerLocation:
Tampa or Fort Lauderdale, FLRole Summary:
My client is looking for an environmental professional with at least 7 years of experience in environmental consulting which must include experience in the FDEP Petroleum Restoration Program projects. Project management as well as previous managerial task experience is a plus as well as this role involves the mentoring of junior staff and project leadership. This role will be joining a team of 50 in the Florida region, joining a nationally ranked firm and key contractor for the
FDEP PRP.
Responsibilities:
Lead and manager FDEP Petroleum Restoration Program (PRP) projects from inception to completion, ensuring along with the team that all project goals are met within the specified timeline and budget.
Execute and oversee the design and implementation of remedial systems, including site assessments, feasibility studies, and engineering designs.
Ensure all projects comply with FDEP regulations and other relevant environmental laws and standards.
Mentor and develop junior engineering staff, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.
Maintain strong relationships with clients, providing regular updates and addressing any concerns or issues promptly.
Prepare detailed engineering reports, project documentation, and presentations for clients and regulatory agencies.
Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring cost-effective solutions and financial accountability.
Develop new client relationships through local and national business development in the Southeastern US and Florida.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 7+ years of experience in environmental engineering, with a focus on petroleum restoration projects and remedial system design, construction, and maintenance.
Professional Engineer (PE) licensure required.
Strong proficiency in environmental engineering principles, remedial system design, and project management software.
Knowledge of FDEP regulations and other relevant environmental laws and standards.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, regulatory agencies, and team members.
Proven ability to lead and manage project teams, with a focus on mentoring and developing junior staff.
