Mitigation Technician

Duties Respond promptly to water damage, fire restoration, mold remediation, and other disaster calls to assess and mitigate damage effectively Perform water extraction, drying, and dehumidification using specialized equipment and techniques Utilize hand tools and power tools for demolition, cleaning, and restoration tasks in affected areas Conduct cleaning procedures including carpet cleaning, surface cleaning, and debris removal to restore property to pre-loss condition Assist with asbestos abatement and mold remediation projects following safety protocols and industry standards Support construction or repair work as needed to ensure complete restoration of the property Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, materials used, and progress updates for each project Skills Proven experience in water damage restoration, fire restoration or related restoration industry roles Knowledge of mold remediation processes and asbestos abatement procedures Skilled in using hand tools such as scrapers, wrenches, screwdrivers and power tools including drills and saws Familiarity with cleaning techniques including carpet cleaning and surface sanitation Ability to operate equipment safely while adhering to OSHA safety standards Strong understanding of construction principles relevant to restoration projects Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and clients during recovery efforts This role is ideal for motivated individuals eager to build a career in the restoration industry.
