Full-timeAbout the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Associate or Principal Engineer, Hydrogeologist, or Environmental Scientist to join our growing Environmental Services team. This senior-level leader will drive strategic growth within the Sediment Remediation market, oversee complex technical efforts, and guide multidisciplinary project teams from investigation through remedy implementation.

This is a high-impact role leading both technical execution and national business development efforts. The ideal candidate has deep expertise in sediment fate and transport, remediation technologies, and regulatory frameworks, with a proven ability to build client relationships and lead a profitable portfolio of work.

Key ResponsibilitiesMarket & Practice LeadershipServe as the Sediment Remediation Practice Lead, providing technical direction and strategic leadership across the portfolio.

Develop and implement strategic plans to expand market share, convert design projects into construction opportunities, and identify new revenue streams.

Lead major pursuits and positioning efforts to grow the firm's national sediment remediation practice.

Project & Technical ManagementOversee the delivery of pre‑design investigations, feasibility and treatability studies, conceptual site models, remedial designs, and construction-phase support.

Manage large and complex sediment remediation projects with responsibility for scope, schedule, budget, quality, and safety.

Direct staff responsible for data collection, synthesis, and interpretation using industry-standard tools and methodologies.

Ensure adherence to internal QA/QC procedures and safety requirements.

Client & Team LeadershipBuild and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and stakeholders.

Provide mentorship, guidance, and leadership to junior and mid-level staff.

Support client communication and engagement on key accounts.

Represent the practice at conferences, presenting technical papers and thought leadership.

QualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering, Hydrogeology, Environmental Science, or a related field7+ years of relevant consulting experienceDemonstrated record of business unit or practice leadership, including revenue growth and successful project delivery.

Expert knowledge of:

Sediment fate and transportActive remediation methods (e.g., dredging, capping, in-situ techniques)CERCLA, RCRA, and Section 401/404 permittingStrong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams.
