Job Description

Air Permitting Engineer - Environmental Compliance As an Air Permitting Engineer - Environmental Compliance, you will play a pivotal role in the success of our projects by monitoring and adapting safety procedures and operations to ensure a safe and fully compliant work environment for our clients. Your primary responsibilities will include supporting environmental permitting and compliance with local, state and federal regulations across a portfolio of projects. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented field professional with a strong ability to work independently, a high degree of integrity, and excellent communication skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead projects ensuring regulatory requirements are understood and sites are operating within compliance. Collaborate regularly with clients to develop, implement, and monitor activities to achieve and maintain compliance. Develop tools, training, guidance, policies, and programs necessary to improve environmental programs in compliance with EHS regulations. Identify potential environmental compliance hazards through frequent inspection of sites, recommend corrective action. Regularly prepare inspection reports documenting adherence to approved plan, materials, and specifications. Provide training on safety protocols, emergency response procedures, and EPA regulations Stay current on industry trends and changes in EHS regulations
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science or a related field. CPR, First Aid, and OSHA-30 certifications obtained within three (3) months of employment. Familiarity with modeling, emissions calculations, BACT analysis, stack testing, air permit applications and related considerations. Certification such as PE or other relevant certification preferred. One (1) to four (4) years of experience in managing environmental health and safety projects. Computer literacy, with proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, project management software tools, and the ability to adapt to software programs as needed to prepare reports. Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations within the Midwest region. Strong interpersonal skills to communicate technical procedure and instructions within multiple levels of staff, clients, and contractors. Demonstrated practical skills in reading and interpreting a variety of reports, blueprints, Inspection slips, inspection requests, diagrams, specifications, codes and regulations, architectural drawings, etc.

Pay:
$80,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
