Environmental Engineer

Central Motor Wheel of America, Inc. (CMWA) , a leading automotive wheel manufacturer located in Central Kentucky, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Environmental Engineer to join our team.

Position:

Environmental Engineer Responsibilities:

Oversee and ensure compliance with environmental regulations, including Title V Air Quality Permit, RCRA provisions, EPCRA/SARA provisions, and KPDES Stormwater Permit. Manage and maintain the

ISO 14001

Environmental Management System, acting as the primary liaison with external registrars. Lead the 'Zero to Landfill' initiative, including the management of the company's Recycling Program. Maintain and distribute the company's MSDS inventory. Develop, analyze, and report environmental data to support the company's Environmental Monitoring and Measurement System. Prepare and submit all required Federal and State Environmental Compliance Reports, as well as Customer-Related Environmental Conformance Reports. Drive the company's efforts to achieve sustainable development goals in alignment with Toyota's Environmental Challenge 2050. Develop and present Environmental Compliance training during Orientation sessions. Demonstrate familiarity with environmental reduction strategies, including emissions reductions, waste reductions, recycling, and waste consumption reduction. Ensure positive regulatory agency interactions, with a proven ability to manage and prioritize complex issues and projects. Travel required to attend global conferences in Japan.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in environmental engineering or a related field. Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience. Experience in the automotive industry is a plus. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational and planning abilities. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced team environment. Willingness to work on the production floor, with exposure to elevated temperatures, factory sounds, and dust levels.
