Principal Environmental Engineer

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Prepare environmental emissions calculations, reporting, permitting, sampling and monitoring necessary to maintain compliance and internal company tracking is kept up to date. Collaborate across functional departments and personnel onsite to develop and implement effective environmental controls to prevent releasees, drive improvements or adapt to site changes. Perform onsite inspections to monitor compliance and best practices are followed, escalating compliance issues and trends and continually improving controls. Perform environmental field sampling and interpretation of lab analysis reports Manage all aspects of hazardous waste generation, accumulation, labeling, storage, tracking, characterization and profiling of new and dynamic waste streams. Develop Process to monitor site changes to facilities, processes and purchases to ensure environmental considerations are addressed during project scoping, development & implementation. Build trust and develop collaborative relationships with county, state and federal regulators needed to facilitate open communication and address compliance concerns to limit escalation. Develop and support the sites Environmental Management System maintain written programs to ensure the site adheres to

principles. Facilitate a positive safety culture in a heavily regulated and inherently hazardous industry. Support sites emergency planning efforts related to hazardous materials, chemicals and emissions. Bachelor of Science Degree in Environmental, Safety, Engineering or related STEM discipline. 5 years of related technical experience as it relates to Environmental, Health, and Safety Engineering experience, or master's degree plus 3 yrs of relevant experience Experience using Microsoft Office applications; Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Strong Excel Skills, using spreadsheets to calculate and convert environmental emissions and reporting needs.
