As a Senior Environmental Engineer , you will lead key environmental projects, overseeing client coordination, planning, budgeting, and technical documentation. You'll supervise and mentor a team of engineers and geologists, supporting their growth through guidance and training. You will also help expand our business and maintain strong client relationships. This role includes both office and field work tied to environmental assessments, with regular interaction with clients, contractors, regulators, and local officials.Lead Projects:
Manage all phases of projects, including scoping, budgeting, execution, reporting, and client communication.Technical Oversight:
Provide expertise in a variety of projects, including but not limited to soil and groundwater remediation and design, vapor intrusion, mitigation system design/installation, contaminated site management, and emerging contaminant investigations (PFAS).Field & Design Work:
Oversee field investigations (drilling, sampling, data collection) and prepare design recommendations for complex or unusual site conditions.Mentorship:
Guide and support engineers, geologists, and technical staff, fostering career development and in-house training.Business Development:
Leverage your local market knowledge and relationships to identify, pursue, and secure project opportunities. Collaborate with clients to build trust and expand S&ME's presence.What We Are Looking For:

Education:
Bachelor's degree in Biological or Environmental Sciences, Environmental Engineering, or a closely related technical fieldExperience:
Minimum of 8 years of engineering experienceCertifications/Professional Licensure-Registrations:
Professional Engineer (PE) licenseKey Competencies:
Excellent project management skills and team leadership Excellent business and technical writing skillsWorking Conditions and Physical Demands:
This role involves hands-on work in outdoor environments, and with Company-provided Personal Protection Equipment (PPE), you'll need to be comfortable with: Working outdoors in varying weather conditions Working outside of normal business hours and traveling (typically out-of-town and/or overnight) as project needs ariseWe Are S&ME:
