Full-Time We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Environmental Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis . The selected candidate will serve as an Environmental Engineer , responsible for overseeing all environmental aspects of our large-scale infrastructure projects. From Notice to Proceed to Final Completion, you will ensure compliance with environmental regulations, develop and implement site-specific environmental plans, and collaborate with stakeholders to maintain the highest standards of environmental management. If you have experience working in tri-state are and possess a strong understanding of New York State environmental requirements, we encourage you to apply! Primary Responsibilities Oversee all environmental issues related to the project and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations. Develop and implement site-specific environmental procedures and plans. Monitor adherence to environmental standards and implement corrective actions or mitigation measures as needed. Manage the removal, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials generated by the project. Document environmental approvals and maintain compliance records. Collaborate with regulatory agencies, contractors, and internal teams to ensure environmental compliance. Qualifications (Preferred) All qualifications are considered a plus :
Experience :
2-5 years of relevant environmental compliance experience with permitting, industrial hygiene, and construction management on large, complex transportation or infrastructure projects. Familiarity with federal and New York State permitting processes. Experience working with NYC DEP and NYS DEC is plus. Knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental regulations, especially as they relate to hazardous materials. Licenses and Certifications (Preferred): OSHA 40-hour Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) certification or 8-hour refresher completed within the past 12 months. Valid New York State Department of Labor Asbestos Inspector Certificate. Association for Materials Protection and Performance (AMPP) C3 Initial or C5 Refresher for Lead/Hazardous Coating Removal (annual refresher required). NYSDEC Endorsed 4-Hour Erosion and Sediment Control Contractor Training. New York State Professional Engineering License is plus but not required.
Education :
Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related fields. Skills and Attributes Strong knowledge of federal and state environmental agencies and regulations. Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with contractors, stakeholders, and government agencies. Ability to develop and implement environmental management plans and procedures. Detail-oriented and proactive in identifying and addressing environmental compliance issues. Why Join Us? Pay:
$90,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
