- 4/24/2026 The Department of Environmental Quality is looking for an Environmental Engineer III to assist in the Hazardous Waste Section within the Division of Waste Management and Radiation Control.
Qualifications Minimum Qualifications:
Communicates regulations and complicated concepts in a waythat is understandable depending on the audience. Listens to understand and responds well to feedback. Skilled in working independently and as a team to worktoward appropriate solutions. Ability to prepare detailed, technical inspection reportsthat enable legally defensible enforcement actions. Knowledge of or ability to learn complicated industrialprocesses. Works collaboratively with colleagues and welcomesknowledge and information sharing.Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor degree or higher in an Engineeringfield, preferably Chemical Engineering. Job Series The selected candidate for this position may be brought in as an Environmental Engineer I with a salary range of $25.96- $41.19 per hour, an Environmental Engineer II with a salary range of $30.57
- $48.48 per hour, or an Environmental Scientist III with a salary range of $34.06
