Below are the typical rules and responsibilities for this role:
Primary Responsibilities:

Project Management:
Plan, schedule, and oversee restoration projects from start to finish. Coordinate with team members, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure efficient workflows. Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. 2.
Team Leadership:
Supervise technicians and crews working on restoration projects. Provide training, mentoring, and performance feedback to ensure staff competency. Foster a safe, professional, and efficient work environment. 3.
Customer Relations:
Act as the primary point of contact for clients, keeping them informed about project progress. Address customer concerns and ensure satisfaction with services provided. Provide detailed explanations of restoration processes and timelines. 4.
Technical Oversight:
Conduct damage assessments and develop action plans for remediation and restoration. Ensure proper use of equipment (e.g., dehumidifiers, air scrubbers, HEPA vacuums). Ensure compliance with industry standards (IICRC, OSHA) and safety regulations. 5.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain detailed project records, including photos, work logs, and cost breakdowns. Prepare and submit estimates, invoices, and documentation for insurance claims. Track job progress using software tools like Xactimate or DASH. 6.
Quality Assurance:
Inspect completed work to ensure high-quality restoration. Identify and resolve any issues that may arise during or after the project. Ensure compliance with company standards and procedures. 7.
Equipment and Inventory Management:
Oversee the maintenance, cleaning, and proper storage of restoration equipment. Manage inventory of supplies and materials needed for projects. Coordinate equipment repairs or replacements as necessary. 8.
Safety Compliance:
Ensure all team members follow safety protocols to prevent injuries or accidents. Conduct regular safety meetings and training sessions. Maintain compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations. 9.
Budget and Cost Control:
Manage project budgets, track expenses, and control costs to maximize profitability. Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality. 10.
Collaboration:
Work closely with insurance adjusters, property owners, and other stakeholders. Coordinate with other departments, such as sales or administration, to align goals.
Key Skills and Competencies:
Strong leadership and communication skills. Knowledge of fire and water restoration techniques, equipment, and industry standards (e.g., IICRC certifications). Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Proficiency in project management software and restoration tools (e.g., Xactimate). Problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Certifications (Preferred or Required): IICRC Certifications (e.g., Water Damage Restoration Technician [WRT], Fire and Smoke Restoration Technician [FSRT]). Project management or leadership training.
