This role bridges the gap between the owner and the field crew — overseeing job execution, documentation, crew coordination, and customer communication from first contact through project close-out. The ideal candidate is a natural leader who is comfortable in the field, fluent in IICRC standards, and capable of producing documentation that holds up under insurance adjuster scrutiny. Key Responsibilities Field Operations Manage active water, mold, and fire remediation jobs from mobilization through final walkthrough Ensure all jobs are set up, documented, and executed in accordance with IICRC S500 and S520 standards Oversee equipment placement, containment setup, negative air pressure verification, and drying validation Conduct daily psychrometric readings and adjust drying strategy as conditions change Supervise field technicians, subcontractors, and specialty trades on active job sites Documentation & Estimating Produce Xactimate estimates that are defensible, detailed, and line-item accurate Maintain complete job files: moisture logs, photo documentation, drying logs, equipment logs, and certificates of completion Prepare scopes of loss for water, mold, and fire claims, including mitigation, demo, and structural phases Respond to adjuster requests for documentation supplements and line-item justifications Customer & Adjuster Relations Serve as the primary point of contact for homeowners throughout the project lifecycle Communicate job progress, next steps, and expectations clearly and professionally Coordinate adjuster site visits and represent Restoration 1 in scope-of-loss discussions Manage customer expectations around timelines, insurance processes, and out-of-pocket costs Team & Business Operations Assist in recruiting, training, and mentoring field technicians Ensure crews follow TDLR and OSHA safety standards, including proper PPE and containment protocols Support the owner with job costing, subcontractor coordination, and collections follow-up Flag job site issues, change orders, or scope discrepancies to ownership in real time Qualifications Required 2+ years of hands-on experience in water mitigation, mold remediation, or fire restoration Working knowledge of IICRC S500
(water), S520 (mold), and industry drying standards Proficiency with Xactimate or demonstrated ability to produce insurance-grade estimates Strong written and verbal communication skills — with both homeowners and adjusters Valid Texas driver's license and reliable transportation Ability to work on-call and respond to emergency calls as needed Preferred IICRC WRT
(Water Restoration Technician) and/or AMRT (Applied Microbial Remediation Technician) certification Experience working within a franchise restoration system (Restoration 1, ServPro, Paul Davis, etc.) TDLR Mold Assessment or Mold Remediation license (or willingness to obtain) Familiarity with moisture metering equipment, air scrubbers, dehumidifiers, and drying chambers Experience coordinating with TPAs (Third Party Administrators) or insurance carriers This franchise is independently owned and operated by a franchisee.
