Environmental Engineers will perform environmental compliance calculations and reporting, support permitting and regulatory interfaces, conduct inspections, and provide engineering support for environmental control systems that protect workers, the public, and the environment. Responsibilities The following reflects management's definition of key functions for this job and reserves the right to assign additional duties as necessary to meet operational requirements: Support environmental compliance tracking, recordkeeping, and reporting for air, water, and waste programs, including state and federal reports, inventories, and dashboards Assist in preparation of key regulatory deliverables such as TCEQ Annual Waste Summary, air emissions inventories, wastewater self-monitoring reports, Tier II, TRI, and pollution prevention reports Perform environmental inspections (CWAA, SAA, SPCC, APCDs, stormwater, visible emissions) in accordance with BEP procedures and regulatory requirements and document findings and corrective actions Support operation and maintenance of APCDs by monitoring operating parameters, assisting with troubleshooting and optimization, and ensuring permit conditions and monitoring requirements are met Assist in development, revision, and maintenance of environmental plans and procedures, including SPCC, waste management plans, waste analysis plans, pollution prevention plans, and waste handling procedures Support the

Qualifications Skills/Qualifications Working knowledge of environmental regulations and requirements for air emissions, hazardous waste and Texas industrial solid waste, wastewater, and chemical storage (EPA, TCEQ, and local requirements) Familiarity with environmental permitting and reporting processes, including calculations and data management Ability to interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs, and equipment manuals for environmental systems and APCDs Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and data quality Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, including the ability to summarize technical information for non-technical audiences Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced industrial environment and collaborate with operations, maintenance, and safety personnel Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with spreadsheets, databases, and data visualization tools Education and Experience Required Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or closely related engineering discipline from an accredited institution Minimum of 3 years of relevant environmental engineering or environmental compliance experience, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing setting Clearance You must maintain an active Public Trust/Confidential security clearance for continued employment.
