Job Description

Launch your career in water resources engineering! We're seeking a motivated intern with interests and/or backgrounds in environmental engineering, civil engineering, biological systems engineering, or hydrology. Apply Today! The Outagamie County Land Conservation Department is seeking an Intern to assist with soil and water conservation projects.
Hours:
Daytime 40 hours per week. Seasonal position •Expected start date is Mid-May 2026 •Non-benefit eligible position Assist with environmental engineering tasks associated with non-point agricultural runoff, including phosphorus removal systems and ag runoff treatment systems. Provide assistance to field staff surveying, designing, and installing conservation practices. Provide assistance with mapping, planning, and engineering projects based on academic background. Other support duties as assigned. Candidate should be enrolled in a natural resources, engineering, or environmental sciences degree program or recently graduated. Knowledge and proficiency of Microsoft Office Suite, Civil3d, and GIS. Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain. Experience operating agricultural equipment like small tractors, mowers, seeders a plus. Possess excellent writing and verbal communication skills Good analytical and problem solving skills Experience or ability to operate all-terrain vehicles. Ability to work independently and maintain regular attendance
