Description:
Who We Are Our Human Systems Engineering functional team provides human-focused engineering support to engineering teams across Lockheed Martin Aeronautics for multiple platforms including the F-16, F-22, F-35, and Advanced Development Programs and products to include Cockpits, Displays, Human Machine Interface, Egress Systems, Pilot Flight Equipment and Life Support during all phases of the lifecycle. What You Will Be Doing As a Human Systems Integration practitioner for F-35, you will impact Lockheed Martin's F-35 design and development by positively collaborating with pilots, users, maintainers, and various cross-functional engineering teams to understand human systems concerns as products are designed and improved upon. Beyond that, you may also find yourself:
  • Representing Human Systems Integration in program execution (cost, schedule and technical performance), proposal activities, and customer interfaces
  • Ensuring human interface design concepts conveys customer intent into the design.
  • Evaluating operational impact to system architects and designers to inform system level design.
  • Providing human systems integration expertise to support human requirements decomposition, technical reviews, human risk and opportunities, and human systems integration analyses during early design and during engineering change processes.
  • Extending Human Systems Integration support into other programs within Integrated Fighter Group and Advanced Development Programs. This position is located in
Fort Worth, TX Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree or higher from an accredited college in a Human Factors, Safety, or related discipline
  • Experience with pilots and/or maintainer interfaces, both physical and virtual
  • Proven verbal and written communication, presentation, and team building skills with ability to work effectively within a team environment
  • Strong and proven understanding of the engineering development process (Systems Engineering, Human Factors Engineering, Human Systems Integration)
  • Customer engagement experience
Desired Skills:
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain strong working relationships with multi-disciplinary technical teams and customers
  • Experience with control account management, project planning, and scheduling
  • Knowledge of DoDI 5000.95 and SAE 6906 and the 7 HSI Domains
  • Expert knowledge of MIL-STD-1472 and
MIL-STD-516
  • Familiarity with Bedford Workload, China Lake Situation Awareness, and USAF Usability scales
  • Proven expertise in requirement decomposition and traceability
  • Understanding of mission planning and operations analysis
  • Experience with tactical aircrafts
  • Experience with UX/UI
  • Customer engagement experience
  • Self starter with the ability to work autonomously as appropriate

Work Schedules:
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees.
