Position Description Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Facilities Technician is responsible for maintaining the overall functionality, safety, and reliability of the facility and its supporting infrastructure. This role provides essential operational support by performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and general upkeep of building systems, utilities, and production support equipment. Key responsibilities include managing routine inspections, monitoring critical utility and safety systems (including HVAC, plumbing, and fire suppression), ensuring strict compliance with OSHA and lockout/tagout protocols, and collaborating with internal teams and external contractors to resolve emergency requests. This role plays a critical part in maximizing plant efficiency, mitigating operational disruptions, and maintaining a safe, organized manufacturing environment. Strong technical troubleshooting abilities, a commitment to workplace safety, and the capacity to manage multiple maintenance priorities in a fast-paced environment are essential. This position is based out of our Conway, AR facility. Responsibilities Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on critical facility systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, compressed air, and infrastructure). Troubleshoot and repair facility-related issues promptly to minimize downtime and resolve emergency requests. Coordinate maintenance activities, equipment moves, and installations with internal teams and outside contractors. Monitor utility and safety systems, including fire suppression, dust collection, and water systems. Maintain overall plant cleanliness, organization, and safe operating conditions. Conduct regular safety inspections and ensure strict compliance with OSHA, environmental standards, and lockout/tagout protocols. Maintain accurate maintenance logs, work orders, inspection records, and supply inventory. Support facility improvement projects, cost-saving initiatives, and efficiency optimizations. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications and Experience 2-5 years of experience in facilities or industrial maintenance (manufacturing environment preferred). Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, mechanical, and building systems. Proven ability to troubleshoot and repair industrial facility equipment and infrastructure. Strong understanding of preventative maintenance practices and safe operation of maintenance tools and lifts. Excellent problem-solving, organizational, communication, and teamwork skills. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with a strong commitment to workplace safety. Basic welding, fabrication, or electrical troubleshooting experience is a plus. Forklift, scissor lift, or aerial lift certification preferred. Ability to stand, walk, lift up to 50 lbs, and work around wood dust, noise, and machinery.
Pay:
