Facilities Controls Engineer

Job Description Insight Global is looking for a Controls Engineer to support a leading semiconductor facility in Chandler, AZ. This role partners closely with Engineering, Operations, and EHS teams to maintain, expand, and optimize site-wide control systems, including DCS and PLC platforms such as DeltaV, Foxboro, Allen‑Bradley PLCs, and Edwards Fire Alarm Systems. The Engineer will play a key role in ensuring safe, reliable, and uninterrupted facility operations by supporting control system design, implementation, and ongoing improvements across both capital and sustaining projects. This individual will interface with multiple engineering disciplines, facilities operations, project managers, contractors, and vendors to deliver system upgrades and expansions safely, on time, and within budget.

Responsibilities include:

Developing hardware and software solutions, programming DCS and PLC systems Coordinating system upgrades, and overseeing external system integrators Supporting life safety and EHS initiatives through management of the fire alarm and life safety systems This position requires a well‑rounded engineer who understands both system‑level architecture and on‑the‑ground execution—someone who can see how individual components interact to create a reliable, fully integrated controls environment supporting 24/7 semiconductor manufacturing operations. •  3+ years of experience supporting Controls System installation, start up, and sustainment
•  Experience with Distributed Control Systems (DCS) that are integrated into various facilities systems
•  Bachelors or Masters in either Mechanical, Electrical or Controls System Engineering
